A fundamental element of maintaining my sobriety is having a spiritual practice each day. The consensus is that astrology is a spiritual practice in the elements and aspects of life. I can tell you that its practicality is why I study and practise it daily as part of my spirituality. I view it as a road map for carrying out my purpose as a human.
For me, I was the typical late ‘70s baby in Northern NSW who was raised as a Christian, my mother being Roman Catholic and my father being Protestant & with the two sides of my family attending different “churches”, this seemed to always bring a massive amount of distress to myself and older sisters. We all attended private catholic schools, with some Nuns still teaching and living on the grounds, with a church also present that we would be mandated to participate in regularly. So the “white wedding” dressed debutant was a real thing that I watched my older sisters participate in, which most considered an important church ritual, a milestone in life. I still feel overwhelmed by how contradictory it all seemed to me as a teen in the early ‘90s. I did ditch high school in year 11, missing my own “debutant”, to my great relief, but this is where my relationship with the Christian churches I was raised with also began to dissolve. When I was a younger child, I had fond memories of sitting at the breakfast table with my Grandparents, reading the paper and talking about our day ahead. One of the solid things you could count on my Grandad for was to read the daily horoscope for us all. This was by far the highlight of my childhood because, most times, I understood it, and with Grandad’s ability to speak it with such emotion, it always brought another element of joy to my heart. In modern times, I merely replaced the time school & church took up and have applied astrology into my everyday life by studying it through many channels and resources, all located on the World Wide Web. I undertake my professional certification training with Astrology University to one day add the title of “Astrologist” to my professional qualifications.

Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Carl Jung believed that astrology served as a symbolic representation of the collective unconscious and the intricate workings of the human mind. He argued that astrology could be a valuable tool to help explore and understand the complexities of the psyche. For over 40 years, Jung dedicated significant time to studying astrology and even integrated astrological horoscopes into his clinical practice. He maintained that the positions of stars and planets were not merely astronomical phenomena; they were symbolic elements that resonated deeply with human thought and behaviour, influencing our inner lives profoundly.

The Pattern & Co-Star Astrology are my go-to apps daily for in-depth accuracy; that is world-famous and have all the cool kids talking about it.

Its accuracy and knowledge of transits are second to none. 12andus provides unique and comprehensive astrological PDF reports, ranging from 100 to 200+ pages each, encompassing every chart placement, Aspect, and House. Astro.com for basically everything you need to know at ground level. I highly recommend the daily personal horoscope, which will display transits if you have an accurate birth time.
Jessica Adams is an excellent website with loads of accurate content for students and astrology lovers. To keep costs down, I highly recommend the yearly membership.
astrotheme.com is another one of my favourites for purchasing reports. Their daily personal horoscope reading is also freakishly accurate if you have a birth time.
